Polly Robbins began working in theatre in the Twin Cities as a scenic artist. From there she moved to Texas to acquire her M.F.A. in theatre design at the University of Texas – Austin. Since moving to Portland 10 years ago, Robbins has designed scenery at the Northwest Children’s Theatre, Stark Raving Theatre, Artist’s Repertory Theatre, Oregon Ballet Theatre, Tygre’s Heart Shakespearean Festival and the Haven Project. Last spring, (2000) Robbins designed the background images for the Portland Opera production Dialogues of the Carmelites. She is also experienced in the world of animation through her work at Will Vinton Studios in Portland. Most recently she was the assistant art director for the television show Gary and Mike, which was produced at Will Vinton Studios for UPN.
